The Story

I used to believe that hosting was something that happened in a "someday" house—the one with the massive kitchen island and a dining table that sat twelve. When I first started The Peaceful Host, my goal was simple: I wanted to help people plan beautiful, curated events. I was focused on the aesthetics, the details, and the "perfect" party.
Then, life changed in the best ways.
Through the grace of God and the unwavering support of my husband, I stepped into my most important role: staying home to raise our baby boy.
Most of us love the idea of filling our homes with our favorite people, but we hesitate because of the "mental load." We spend the days leading up to an event exhausted by the to-do list, only to spend the actual party stuck in the kitchen instead of the conversation.
Living in a small home with our son and dog, my perspective on hospitality shifted completely. I realized that the "perfect" event doesn't matter if the host is too overwhelmed to enjoy the people inside their own walls. I didn't need more decorations; I needed more peace.
My mission evolved from event planning to gathering strategy. I stopped focusing on the "someday" house and started focusing on how to make space for what matters right now, exactly where we are.
I believe God made us for community; you should feel refreshed by your people, not drained by the preparation.
Today, I help the modern host solve the "mental load" of entertaining. Whether it’s through custom gathering plans or creative activity kits for your little ones, I’m here to show you that hospitality isn’t about your floor plan—it’s about the connection you create within it.
